通用汽车“设计”升级

通用汽车26日宣布,将对位于上海的前瞻设计中心进行升级扩建,以全面提升本土设计能力,更多参与全球产品设计。同时,新的设计中心将拥有更灵活的空间,运用最前沿的技术工艺使开发能力实现翻番。扩建后的前瞻设计中心将新增色彩与材料工作室、油漆车间、VR实验室等设施。升级工程已于本月开工,计划于2021年第二季度完工。

通用汽车中国前瞻设计中心是通用汽车全球设计体系的重要组成部分,为中国和全球其他市场设计概念车和新能源汽车。此次对该设计中心进行升级扩建,将推动公司加速实现零排放、零事故和零拥堵的“三零”愿景。

通用汽车中国前瞻设计中心不光拥有世界前沿技术,它的设计团队也是目前业内最年轻的团队之一。通用汽车全球执行副总裁兼通用汽车中国总裁柏历表示,上海已成为聚集顶尖汽车设计人才的高地,令人惊叹的设计源源不断地在这里涌现。随着前瞻设计中心的扩容,依托通用汽车的全球资源,将吸引更多优秀的本土设计师。

Hydrogen-Powered Planes Will Be Commercially Viable In The 2030s

据外媒报道,欧洲飞机制造集团空客公司近日表示,零排放的大型氢动力客机将于五年内扫清技术障碍,但由于氢燃料的价格因素,还需要至少十年才能投入使用。

Zero-emission large passenger aircraft powered by hydrogen will be technically feasible in five years, according to Airbus, but they will not enter service for at least a decade as the price of the fuel needs to come down.

这一预测来自空客公司负责零排放飞机项目的副总裁格伦·卢埃林。他表示,尽管空客计划于2025年展示氢动力飞机,但是“未来十年内,氢燃料不会比化石燃料更省钱”。

The prediction comes from Glenn Llewellyn, vice-president of zero-emissions technology at the pan-European plane-maker. He said that while Airbus planned to demonstrate hydrogen-powered aircraft in 2025, “over the next 10 years, hydrogen won’t be more economic than the fossil fuel equivalent”.

他补充道:“关于未来几十年如何降低氢燃料成本,许多独立机构已做出规划。我们预测,到2030年可再生氢燃料的成本将比现在降低30%,到2050年将降低50%。”

He added: “There are a number of independent institutes that have mapped out how hydrogen costs can come down over the next decades. We see a 30% reduction in renewable hydrogen costs in 2030 compared to where it is today, and a 50% reduction in renewable hydrogen costs by 2050.”

欧莱雅集团第三季度实现同比正增长

L'Oréal Returns To Growth Like-For-Like In 3Q

欧莱雅集团日前宣布今年前三季度业绩。截止到九月底销售额为201.1亿欧元,同比增长-7.4%,按固定汇率计算-6.9%,合并增长-8.6%。

L'Oréal announced the performance by the end of September. Sales: 20.11 billion euros,-7.4% like-for-like, -6.9% at constant exchange rates, -8.6% based on reported figures.

第三季度增速:同比增长1.6%,活性健康化妆品部实现卓越增长,同比增长15.2%;电子商务势头强劲,大幅增长,占销售额23.7%,增长61.6%;中国内地市场实现强劲增长,同比增长20.8%。

Growth in the third quarter: +1.6% like-for-like, exceptional growth of the Active Cosmetics Division, +15.2% like-for-like; Power and growth in e-commerce,23.7% of sales, +61.6%; Strong growth in China: +20.8% like-for-like.

从地区来看,北美地区和所有新兴市场在本季度都重回增长,并在数个国家表现抢眼,例如中国和巴西。

In geographic terms, North America and all of the new markets returned to growth in this quarter, with remarkable performances in certain countries, such as China and Brazil.

董事长兼首席执行官安巩在评价前三季度的经营状况时表示:“集团能够在第三季度就重回增长,与所有事业部和区域市场坚定的决心和正确的战略决策密不可分。”

Commenting on the figures, Mr Jean-Paul Agon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of L'Oréal, said: “The Group was able to return to growth as soon as this third quarter thanks to the determination and the relevance of the strategic choices taken in all Divisions and geographic Zones.”

Emirates SkyCargo is stepping up its readiness to handle the logistical complexities of distributing a potential COVID-19 vaccine globally by creating the world’s first dedicated airside cargo hub for the vaccine in Dubai.

The freight division of Emirates has also set up a dedicated rapid response team to coordinate requests from the various partners involved in the international vaccine distribution ecosystem and to streamline the carrier’s response to vaccine transportation requests.

Many large toy companies are trying to become more eco-friendly after decades of relying on environmentally destructive plastic in their products and packaging.

Uno announced that it now has a 100% recyclable deck of cards. The company is removing cellophane from its packaging, but the cards themselves have always been recyclable. Uno plans to remove the cellophane from all of its card decks by 2021.

Lego plans to use recyclable paper for its packaging rather than single-use plastic. The company said that by 2025, all Lego packaging will be made from renewable or recycled material.
